....Another year over and a new one just begun.....

 

Happy New Year to you ALL, not just Happy New Year but Happy New Decade as well.   This year, a group of us met up in Abbey House in Glastonbury at New Year for a Magical Mystery Experience, made all the more special by the spectacular presence of an eclipsed blue moon!

Hi Everyone, it's Mary here, contacting you on behalf of the Alliance for Lucid Living, sending my first mail of this new decade ... and not feeling any pressure at all!

Actually, to tell you the truth,  I have found this mail quite difficult to write for reasons that I will tell you more about later on. But first I thought I should tell you a bit about myself and how I got involved with Tim and his work. Around 6 years ago a copy of 'Jesus and the Goddess' almost fell on my head in a bookshop! As I started to read this book so many so many things that I had forgotten, had unremembered, started to come back into my conscious thoughts. I came to my first Lucid Living seminar 4 years ago in the beautiful Chalice Well Gardens in Glastonbury, full of trepidation and without any clue of what I was letting myself in for. I returned home having had a experience it is impossible to put into words. I came to some more events when I could, each time meeting with amazing people, and each time experiencing more with greater intensity.

This time last year for many reasons, Tim was on the verge of not doing weekend events any more. We had one last gathering in May 2009 which was so transformative that it has given rise to the Magical Mystery Experience retreats.

One question that people have asked me is 'what do you do at these Magical Mystery Experience retreats?' I find this hard to answer, but maybe the best response is 'its not what we do, it's where we go'. By entering the mystery together, what we experience is truly magical ...

An earlier draft of this mail had included quotations from people who had attended the New Year event to give you a taste of what we experienced together. But when I read what I had put together I had a problem with it. What people had to say about Tim as a teacher and guide to this experience was so beautiful and enthusiastic and full of love and praise, that when I just read the words they looked as if they must have been made up. So I have decided to leave them out. The only way to really find out what the 'magical mystery experience' feels like is to come and experience it for yourself!

This mail is really to tell you Tim's plans for this year will revolve around leading Magical Mystery Experience retreats. For us, this is the best way we have found to engage with the philosophy of Lucid Living, to wake up to Big Love and to become Deep Awake together. We are working on events for the coming year right now and enclose details of the first two confirmed dates for the UK. More on other locations soon ... including the USA.

Before I give you details of these two events I want to emphasize something. These are not events that we are selling or pushing on you. What happens at these gatherings makes us want to share this with as many of you as possible, that's all. Some of you may have been attracted to Tim's work through the 'Lucid Living' route, others may have been drawn to the more 'scholarly' work on 'gnosis' that Tim and Peter Gandy did together. We have found that at these events the concepts and experiences marry beautifully to take us to a place where we know directly for ourselves ... and then the words don't really matter.

DEEPER AWAKE

Tim's next retreat is a very special Deeper Awake event in Devon at Easter April 2nd - 4th, at a centre run by Richard and Anne Jones, two amazing people who have been supporting Tim and his work for some time now. This event is open to those of you who have already attended a Magical Mystery Experience retreat and want to go deeper. (Click here for details).
