About The ALL

This is the website of the Alliance for Lucid Living.

The ALL is a world-wide community of individuals from different spiritual traditions (and none) who come together to explore their overwhelming sense of awe at the mystery of existence. They feel that at the heart of the Mystery is to be found a deeper experience of consciousness, known since ancient times as "enlightenment", "gnosis", "awakening" and by many other names. They meet, whether in person or via the world wide web, to evoke and nurture such consciousness in each other.

The ALL chooses to refer to this experience of consciousness as "Lucid Living", which is both a name and a metaphor. This approach is inspired by the writing of Timothy Freke, particularly in his book "Lucid Living" (Hay House 2008). The creation of the ALL was originally Tim's idea and he has now been joined by many other people who wish to develop his inspiration.

As the extract from "Jesus and the Goddess" suggests, all have experienced Lucid moments at some point in life, no matter how briefly. The Alliance exists to support those who wish to explore the meaning of such moments. Lucid Living is an experience of consciousness characterised by a profound sense of the oneness of all things, expressing itself through the majesty of manifest existence. It is an experience of consciousness in which the meaning of words such as "love", wisdom and "God" may be tasted.

It is an experience of consciousness in which both the depths of spirituality and the joys and sorrows of everyday life are celebrated. Neither is rejected. The ALL is a community of ordinary people who, having found something beyond price, wish to plunge into its depths as a blessing both to themselves and to the world in which they live. This site is intended as a focus of community, a place where people from all over the world who are interested in Lucid Living may interact and become supportive friends.

In particular, you are invited to participate in the online forum and submit contributions for the Lucid Journal.
